Operation Talkative is the Warwickshire Police initiative targeting knife crime in the county.
As part of the operation, we’re asking people to take difficult decisions and report concerns around people carrying knives, even if these are friends or relatives.
The decision to report your concerns could save a life.
Ask yourself the question, if you knew your friend was carry a knife and they used it injure or kill somebody, could you live with yourself?
Every piece of intelligence we receive will be evaluated and developed. We will then take appropriate action.
Please make the right decision.
How to make a report
You can make a report to Warwickshire Police by going to www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or call 101. If someone is carrying a knife on them at the current time then call 999.
How to remain anonymous
You can make a report anonymously to Crimestoppers. Crimestoppers is not the police, it is an independent charity that gives people the power to speak up to stop crime while remaining 100% anonymous.
You can provide information by going to crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.
The Fearless section of their website is specifically for young people to pass on information about a crime while remaining 100% anonymous. The site includes a section on knife crime.
