Appeal for witnesses to collision - Astley

We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Astley.

Shortly after 6am yesterday morning (Sunday, 9 February), we received a report of a single vehicle collision at the junction of Astley Lane and Nuthurst Lane. 

The driver, a male in his 20s, was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene and his next of kin has been informed. Two other passengers travelling in the vehicle were taken to hospital with serious injuries, where they remain.

We are therefore asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or saw the manner in which the vehicle was being driven prior to the incident to please come forward. We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage of the incident.
