We’re appealing for witnesses to an assault at a park in Warwick to come forward.
Around 5pm on Saturday (12 April) a teenage boy was walking through St Nicholas Park with a friend when he was assaulted from behind – suffering a fractured jaw.
Before the assault, which is thought to have been a case of mistaken identity, the suspect is understood to have shouted a boy’s name.
The attacker – described as around 13 years old, white, approximately 5ft 6in tall – was described as wearing sunglasses and a dark coloured tracksuit.
He was understood to have been with another teenage boy and both left in the direction of Warwick Railway Station.
Investigations are underway and we’re keen to speak to any witnesses, anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has mobile phone footage of the incident.
Anyone with information should contact us quoting incident number 263 of 12 April.
