This site is a beta, which means it's a work in progress and we'll be adding more to it over the next few weeks. Your feedback helps us make things better, so please let us know what you think.
As the new academic year gets underway, we’re welcoming new and returning students to schools, colleges and university across Warwickshire.
We want to help students settle in safely and we’re sharing advice over the next few weeks targeted at 16- to 18-year-olds via Instagram as well as on a dedicated student safety area on our website.
This includes tips and guidance on everything from how they can keep their property safe to how to get in touch with us if they need to.
Dedicated officers are liaising with schools, colleges and universities to join welcome events so please feel free to chat with them or ask any questions you might have.
And we’re working closely with regional partners to reduce the risks of harm through anti-social or violent behaviour in our town centres.
Superintendent Steve Davies, who is responsible for local policing in Warwickshire, said: “The safety of students and the wellbeing of the wider local community is always a priority for us, and we will continue to work closely with schools, colleges and universities to make sure this remains the case.”
If you have relatives or friends heading into their final years of school, into college, sixth form or starting university, please encourage them to follow us on Instagram and visit the new Advice for Students section of our website.
