For Safer Business Action Week, we’ve been focussing attention on our Investigation Standards and Outcomes team, who undertake plain clothes operations against shop theft and other business crime.
We interviewed Sgt Ben who has been instrumental in pulling the team together into their current form.
Since their establishment last year, they’ve made over 255 arrests for shop theft, recovered thousands of pounds worth of stolen property, and put prolific repeat offenders away for over 16 years.
The team is fast becoming a model for other forces in how to tackle shoplifting.
Keep following us to find out more about what we’re doing to tackle business crime in Warwickshire.
