We’ve achieved a major milestone in the recruitment and training of new officers with approval from the College of Policing (CoP) to deliver the Police Constable Entry Programme (PCEP) at Warwickshire.
The PCEP is a non-degree entry route into policing and complements the force's existing training - including the apprenticeship degree programmes.
Behind the scenes the PCEP working group, made up of individuals from a range of departments, have played a crucial role in compiling and presenting the necessary materials to meet the College's requirements.
A big thanks to this team and everyone involved for helping the force to achieve this success.
The force can be particularly proud of the feedback we received from the College who said the submission was "up there with the top submissions from other forces.”
We were also commended on 'including senior operational inputs in governance to make sure the programme not only meets the requirements but bespoke operational requirements for the force.'
We’re always looking for committed people to join us and keep our communities safe in Warwickshire. We're committed to fostering a workforce that is representative of the communities we serve and encourage individuals from under-represented groups and communities to join us.
