On 16 May at around 7:30pm, police officers arrived at a property on Croft Road in Nuneaton to enact an arrest.
A man inside the property reportedly barricaded the door to the address and allegedly made threats to assault the officers.
He was reportedly wanted on suspicion of attempt GBH from an incident on 28 April during which he allegedly attempted to attack someone with a baseball bat at a service station on Central Avenue in Nuneaton.
At the house on Croft Road, the man was reportedly eventually convinced to leave the property, but then allegedly refused to comply with officer requests.
An officer reportedly tried to prevent him from re-entering the property which resulted in the man shoving him.
During the course of being arrested, the man then allegedly proceeded to kick out at the officers, with the kicks reportedly making connection with all four.
Following this, a 28-year-old man from Nuneaton has been arrested on suspicion of attempt GBH and four counts of assault by beating of a police officer.
He remains in custody at this time.
PC Kite said “We treat violent incidents very seriously, and channel our resources towards identifying, locating, and arresting people we believe to be a threat to their community.
“If you are the victim of violence or threats of violence, make a report with the police as soon as possible, and we will help you.”
