At around 9:50pm on Saturday 4 May, officers were called to reports of an assault on Purcell Avenue, Nuneaton.
One male allegedly attacked the victim following an argument, leading to a head injury.
Following this, a 19-year-old man from Nuneaton has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause GBH and remains in custody at this time.
We can confirm this was an isolated incident, and there is no wider risk to the public.
