We are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Lea Marston today (Sunday, 12 May 2024).
The incident happened shortly before 8.45am at the car boot sale on Haunch Lane where it is reported a 42-year-old man was punched to the head.
The victim was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Michael Brennen said : “This was a nasty incident which has seen the victim sustain a serious head injury.
“While no arrests have been made, investigations are ongoing to identify three men who are believed to have been involved.
“We know there would have been a lot of people at this car boot sale this morning who potentially will have seen the incident and I would urge them to get in touch as they may have vital information that could help with our enquiries.
“The suspects are believed to have left in a vehicle, so I would also appeal to anyone who may have dash cam footage of the vehicle leaving the car boot.”
Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or report this to us via our website quoting incident number 108 of 12 May 2024.
Information can also be given to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously via their website or on 0800 555 111.
