Ionut Bancunlea, 33 of Claremont Road in Smethwick, and Adrian Bivolaru, 34 of Parkhill Road in Smethwick, have been charged with offences related to flytipping.
Bancunlea has been charged on four counts of depositing waste without an environmental permit, and Bivolaru has received two charges of the same offence.
These charges were pursued with the support of the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council’s Community Safety Investigator.
They follow four alleged incidents of depositing waste without an environmental permit – one on Packington Lane in Maxstoke (16 November 2023), two on Fen End Road in Fen End (one between 23 and 25 June, and another on 7 September 2023), and one on Maxstoke Lane in Meriden (7 February 2024).
The alleged incident on 7 February in Meriden was attended by officers from Warwickshire Police, who reportedly made the two men load the waste back into their vans, which were then seized as evidence.
Both Bancunclea and Bivolaru will appear in Leamington Spa Magistrates Court on 10 May 2024.
