Jay White, 22 from Coton Road in Nuneaton, has been charged with five counts of theft from a shop, two counts of assault with ABH, and one count of GBH assault with intent.
White will appear in Warwick Crown Court on 25 July.
This follows a series of six incidents between February and June of this year (2024), five of which involved alleged thefts from shops - three from a shop on Kem Street in Nuneaton, one from a shop in Newtown Retail Park in Nuneaton, and one from a clothes shop on Long Street in Atherstone.
The last incident from the charges was alleged to have happened on the 28 May 2024.
A group three men were allegedly approached by another group of three men, who reportedly asked them for a cigarette.
It is alleged that after being told no, a fight ensued during which the three victims reportedly received injuries equating to ABH (Actual Bodily Harm) and GBH (Grievous Bodile Harm).
