At just after 10pm on Friday 19 July, we were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Pool Bank Street in Nuneaton.
A Yamaha motorbike had allegedly collided with a male pedestrian, leading to serious injuries which required hospital attention.
The driver reportedly then left the scene in a car (a black Nissan Qashqai), allegedly accompanied by another male.
This male was reportedly later found to be in possession of an offensive weapon.
Following this, two people have been arrested – an 18-year-old woman from Nuneaton on suspicion of causing injury by dangerous driving, and a 36-year-old man on suspicion of assisting an offender and possession of an offensive weapon.
Both have been bailed pending further investigation.
