A boy from Birmingham has been charged in connection with an assault in Leamington on Sunday (14 January). The 16-year-old has been charged with attempted murder.
Officers were called to St Margaret’s Road at around 1.20pm following reports that a teenage boy had suffered injuries believed to have been caused by a weapon. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers arrested the boy yesterday afternoon in Birmingham.
He has also been charged with wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and two counts of conveying a threatening message.
He appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today where he was remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 30 January.
