A 15-year-old boy from Nuneaton has been arrested on suspicion of going equipped and possession of Class B or C drugs.
This is following an incident at around midday yesterday (25 January) during which a boy was allegedly seen at a supermarket on Newtown Road in Nuneaton in possession of bolt crops trying to open bicycle locks.
The boy was located at the train station nearby and reportedly attempted to run away but was detained and the bolt croppers seized.
Sgt Studd said “We are aware of the problems with bike thieves around Nuneaton, and with the help of the community we can take effective action against them.
“If you see someone suspiciously lugging a set of bolt crops or other tools around bike racks, get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
