If you’ve been out and about in Stratford today you may have seen Project Servator officers. This is nothing to worry about. Project Servator aims to disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism, while providing a reassuring presence for the public.
The deployments use a range of tactics to keep you safe – some you can see, like the specially trained, highly visible uniformed officers; alongside some you can’t see like plain clothes officers and live CCTV monitoring.
Project Servator officers will pop up at unpredictable times and locations to engage with visitors, residents and local businesses to create a network of vigilance across Stratford.
We all have a role to play in helping to keep our streets safe. Trust your instincts and report anything that doesn’t feel right. You will never be wasting our time.
If you see something suspicious, please tell a police officer, use our online form to tell us about possible terrorist activity, or call the confidential Anti Terrorist Hotline on 0800 789 321. If it's an emergency, always call 999.
