Dayle Mara, 35 of Tudor Road in Nuneaton, has been charged with using threatening or abusive behaviour, threatening to destroy his own property and endanger life, ABH assault, production of cannabis, and assaulting a police officer.
He will appear in Warwick Crown Court on 28 May.
This follows an incident on 25 April on Tudor Road, during which officers were called regarding a report of assault at the property.
A woman was reportedly found outside the property with alleged head injuries and taken to hospital.
A man had allegedly locked himself inside the house, where he allegedly made threats to harm officers and claimed to have damaged the gas pipes, resulting in the evacuation of nearby residents.
After a stand-off, the man was reportedly arrested, and it was discovered that the gas pipes were intact.
A search of the house reportedly found evidence of a small cannabis grow, allegedly including bags of cannabis and three plants.
The man became aggressive with officers after being taken to hospital, and allegedly bit one officer on the hand.
