Two officers out on a targeted Op Resolve patrol in Atherstone discovered a man with cannabis, bags, scales, and cash.
The officers reported seeing a man in his car in Grove Road trying to conceal something in his lap, and so approached the vehicle to carry out a search.
They seized cannabis, bags usually used to deal cannabis, a set of scales, and cash.
Following this, a 25-year-old man from Mancetter was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis with intent to supply and driving under the influence of drugs.
PC Taylor said “Antisocial behaviour and drug use often go hand-in-hand, so it’s not unusual that we would find one while looking for the other.
“If you think you’ve seen people dealing drugs or taking part in ASB near where you live, make a report about it – it all helps us target our patrols in future.”
Op Resolve is a data-led hotspot patrolling initiative which targets areas where ASB and serious violence is known to take place.
