We received a report on 17 November that two black steel wire silhouettes of soldiers used in the Armistice Day commemorations at the All Saints Church on High Street in Bedworth are missing, presumed stolen.
The silhouettes are approximately 5ft 8in tall and 4ft 6in tall. It is believed that they were removed between midnight and 1am on 14 November.
One silhouette has since been recovered. The 4ft 6in tall silhouette is still missing.
If anyone witnessed anything that could help us locate the silhouettes, particularly if you have dashcam or CCTV footage, you should contact us as soon as possible – you can make a report on our website at www.warwickshire.police.uk/report or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
PC Tom Shorthouse of Nuneaton SNT said “We have been made aware of the thefts of two steel models used to commemorate Armistice Day from a church in Bedworth, and we are investigating.
“These two items are of real significance to our community, and we would like to see them returned at the earliest available opportunity – anything you can do to help us locate them would be greatly appreciated.”
