Two men have been arrested and charged following a police pursuit that ended in Bedworth on Sunday (3 September).
This originated with a call from Northamptonshire Police who were in pursuit of a suspected stolen van driving dangerously down the M1 near Junction 16, with the pursuit continuing on the M6 Northbound.
The vehicle is then alleged to have travelled at high speeds the wrong way down the A444 before taking the exit towards Newtown Road in Bedworth, colliding with a car coming the other way.
Inside the van was reported to be a motorbike, which itself is also alleged to have been stolen.
Following this incident, David Mumford, 39, of Coton Road, Nuneaton was arrested and later charged with dangerous driving, driving while disqualified, possession of cannabis, driving without insurance, and receiving stolen goods.
David will appear in Warwick Crown Court on 3 October.
Simon Upton, 40, of Shaftsbury Avenue, Keresley End was also arrested and charged with attempting to possess cocaine and possession of cannabis.
Simon will appear in Warwickshire Magistrates Court on 6 October.
