A man has been arrested following a report of a robbery in Atherstone on 20 August.
At around 4.30am it was reported that a woman in her 80s was walking along South Street when a man approached demanding her bag. After taking the bag the woman was pushed to the floor.
The victim suffered injuries to her face and hands.
Following CCTV enquiries officers identified a suspect and a 20-year-old from Atherstone was arrested on suspicion of robbery. He is still in police custody.
