We are pleased to announce the introduction of a new dedicated town centre officer for Nuneaton and Bedworth.
From 17 November, Police Constable Tom Shorthouse will the beat manager for Nuneaton and Bedworth town centres as part of the Safer Neighbourhood Team.
This will involve organising SNT policing activities, promoting community engagement, and capitalising on opportunities to maintain public safety in the area.
Chief Inspector Steve Davies said “Our new dedicated beat manager for the town centres will allow us to keep a close oversight on town centre safety.
“Tom is an experienced officer who knows our area inside and out, and I am greatly looking forward to the benefits he will bring to the people of Nuneaton and Bedworth.”
The Rt Hon Marcus Jones MP for Nuneaton said “I am delighted that a new town centre officer will shortly be in post.
“This will provide visible reassurance to local residents in Nuneaton and a strong presence to tackle town centre crime and anti-social behaviour.
“I know this will be welcomed by Nuneaton residents and am pleased that Warwickshire Police are determined to keep our town centre safe and to reassure local residents.”
