An unauthorised encampment was set up on the land near Tiverton Drive and Camborne Drive in Horeston Grange, Nuneaton on the morning of Wednesday 14 June.
Warwickshire Police and Nuneaton & Bedworth Council worked together on utilising council powers as part of Section 77 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.
The Section 77 notices were delivered this morning, and as of this afternoon, the encampment has now been packed up.
Another unauthorised encampment was moved on from the Pingles leisure centre site on Tuesday 13 June under Section 60C of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act.
Section 60C was applicable as where the caravans were parked would have caused disruption to the upcoming swimming gala.
Chief Inspector Steve Davies said “On all occasions such as this, we work with liaison advisors to get the best possible outcome for all parties.
“However, we take a zero-tolerance approach to unauthorised encampments where they cause significant damage, disruption, or distress in Warwickshire.
“There are a number of established sites for travelling communities around Warwickshire, including Alvecote and Griff Hollows in North Warwickshire.”
