Today, a 16-year-old boy from Bedworth was arrested for breaching the conditions of his court bail.
His court bail conditions required him to remain outside of Warwickshire, but he went missing from his assigned placement, and was found and arrested in Bedworth.
He is one of twelve youths suspected of being involved in violent offences in North Warwickshire and being targeted as part of Operation Outfitter.
A 54-year-old man from Bedworth has also been arrested on suspicion of obstructing a police officer and assisting an offender, after allegedly trying to physically prevent officers from carrying out an arrest.
Inspector Kris Shore said “We hope this sends a message to anyone who might try to harbour suspects on the run.
“In short – don’t. We will catch up with you, and we will apply the law, which may involve taking you into custody as well.”
