A Rugby man has been arrested after police spotted a suspected drugs deal taking place in the town.
On the afternoon of Monday, September 5, officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID spotted a car involved in what they believed to be a drugs deal.
They stopped the vehicle on Bath Street and quickly discovered cash, cannabis and mobile phones.
The driver of the car, a man from Rugby, was then arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
A search of the man’s home also revealed more cannabis, cash and scales.
Later that night he was released on police bail while enquiries continue.
