A Bedworth man has been charged with theft after being detained by a member of the public as he attempted to leave a church in Stratford.
On the afternoon of Friday, September 2, the man was spotted allegedly behaving suspiciously in the church.
The police were alerted and, while officers were en route, the man attempted to leave.
He was then detained by a member of the public and, when officers arrived moments later, he was promptly arrested.
That same day Christopher Coulthard, 59, of Keenan Drive Bedworth was charged with theft before being bailed.
He is set to appear before magistrates in Coventry on Friday, September 23.Issued by: AG, Corporate Communications.
