Warwickshire Police is appealing for witnesses or information following a fatal collision in the early hours of yesterday morning (Tuesday 4 October).
Police were called at around 3.30am to a report of a two-vehicle collision on a sliproad of the M42 northbound, between junctions 8-9.
A 20-year-old man who was travelling in a Ford Fiesta sustained serious injuries and was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. His next of kin has been informed.
A 20-year-old man has beens arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving. He is currently in police custody.
Road closures have now been lifted.
If anyone witnessed the collision, has any dashcam footage in the location at this time, or saw the Fiesta in the Belfry or Wishaw area at around 3.20am prior to the collision, please call 101 quoting incident number 22 of 4 October.
