Local officers are appealing for information and urging people to be on their guard after two cars were found stripped of parts in the Coleshill area over the weekend.
A Toyota Yaris was stripped of its parts at Coleshill Parkway Station at some time between 12noon and 6.40pm on Saturday (1 October).
In a separate incident on Sunday evening a vehicle stripped of its parts was found dumped on Halloughton Lane, Nether Whiteacre.
PCSO Mo Yaqub from Coleshill South Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “These two thefts were obviously committed by people who know what they are doing. It is important people take precautions to make life as difficult as possible for these criminals.
“The most important piece of advice I can give is be on the lookout for anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles and if you spot anything contact police immediately.”
Police are urging people to take the following precautions to protect their vehicles:
Anyone with information that could help police with their enquires can call 101 quoting crime reference 23/42555/22 (for the Coleshill Parkway Station incident) or incident 205 of 2 October 2022 (for the Nether Whiteacre incident). Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
