Officers are appealing for information after a one-year-old was bitten by a dog in a dog in a Nuneaton park.
At around 6pm on Saturday, November 26, a parent was walking with their one-year-old in a pushchair near to the lake by Accacia Road, Whittleford Road and Queen Elizabeth Road.
A medium-sized black dog with no collar or tag then reportedly ran up and bit the child in the face – causing puncture wounds and a scratch.
PC Tess Mitchell from Bedworth station said: “Enquiries are ongoing and officers have been watching out for any dog matching that description in the area.
“In the meantime, if you have seen a medium, black dog with no collar or tags in the area – either around the time of the incident or more recently – please get in touch by visiting warwickshire.police.uk/report or calling 101, citing incident 296 of November 26.”
