Suspected burglars who allegedly broke into a house in Rugby have been charged.
Intruders reportedly broke into a house in Charles Street in the early hours of Tuesday (15 November) morning.
Terry Hannifin and Sean Ryan were arrested a short distance away by officers responding to a report of the break in.
Both were charged with aggravated burglary.
Hannifin, 33, of Houston Road, Rugby also stands accused of other offences committed in Rugby including theft of a bike wheel from Church Street on 11 November, theft of a car from Clifton Road on 11 November, theft of a bike from Leicester Road on 6 November, driving without insurance and driving while disqualified.
Ryan, 31, of Skiddaw, Rugby was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon after officers seized nunchucks following his arrest.
Hannifin and Ryan appeared at Coventry Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday 17 November) where they were remanded to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 15 December.
