A boy from Leamington has been arrested as part of a police crackdown on drug dealing.
The officers seized suspected heroin, cash, and a mobile phone.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
Officers from Leamington Proactive CID were on patrol when they spotted the suspected drug deal in Murcott Road West, Leamington yesterday (Wednesday 18 May) afternoon. He was arrested following a short foot chase.
Detective Constable Pitt from Leamington Proactive CID said: “Hopefully the community is reassured by how hard we are working to create an atmosphere that is hostile to criminal activity in Leamington.
“However, we can only do this good work if communities come forward with the information.
“Let us know if you think criminal activity is taking place in your area.
“Feed that information into us or through the independent charity Crimestoppers, and we will act.”

The suspect has now been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
