A man and a woman from Nuneaton were arrested yesterday (8 March) after officers witnessed a suspected drug deal taking place in Towerview Crescent, Nuneaton.
An 18-year-old man was detained for search as he exited a property. He was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs after a large quantity of cash and a suspected burner phone were found. A later search in custody revealed he had also been carrying a quantity of suspected drugs, and the man was further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
The property in Towerview Crescent was also searched and suspected class A drugs were seized. A 55-year-old-woman was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs.
The man and woman have both been released on bail while enquiries continue.
