Three people have been arrested after a boy was stabbed in Nuneaton.
Police were called at 9.49pm to a report of a disturbance outside McDonalds in Queen’s Road.
During the incident a 15-year-old local boy suffered a stab wound to the back and was taken to hospital. His injuries are not thought to be serious.
A 14-year-old boy from Bedworth, 16-year-old boy from Nuneaton and a 17-year-old boy from Bedworth were all arrested on suspicion of assault. The 16-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
Detectives are investigating and are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information or CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage of the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Rich Simpkins, of Nuneaton CID, said: “The victim was extremely fortunate not to have been badly injured in this incident and while we have made a number of arrests our enquiries are very much ongoing.
“I would appeal for anyone who has information or who witnesses the incident itself to come forward and speak to us.”
