UPDATE - Seeswood Pool emergency services presence - Nuneaton

Police and firefighters are currently at Nuneaton’s Seeswood Pool, off Astley Lane, following reports of people being seen on ice at around 3.26pm this afternoon, December 14.
We are working with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue at the scene to establish the reported people have left the site safely.
To assist with access to the location, we have temporarily closed a section of Astley Lane, and we are thanking residents for their patience.
Anyone who may have been in this area in the last hour and a half, and may have information that can help with these enquiries is asked to contact 101, citing incident 230, at the earliest opportunity.

UPDATE (9.15pm Wednesday 14 December)
Throughout the afternoon and this evening we have been conducting a search to ensure young people who were reportedly walking on the ice at Nuneaton’s Seeswood Pool are safe and well.
This was a precautionary measure, and it was conducted alongside our colleagues at Warwickshire Fire and Rescue.
No evidence has been found that anyone has come to any harm.
