Officers have stepped up patrols in Alcester after a man reportedly approached a woman and tried to grab her as she was walking her dog.
At around 8.55am on Tuesday, December 13, the woman was walking her dog on fields near to Alcester’s Captain’s Hill.
The man than reportedly approached her and tried to grab her.
The dog the ran towards the man, startling him and causing him to flee the scene.
The man is described as around 40 years old with a beard, dressed all in black and wearing a black beanie hat.
Sergeant David Ebbs, of Alcester and Shipston SNT, said: “This was a strange incident which understandably has caused concern in the community.
“Enquiries are progressing, and patrols have been stepped up in the area to ensure residents feel safe.”
