A body found in Chile earlier this month has now been formally identified as a Warwickshire resident.
60-year-old Professor Thomas Marsh was reported missing in September while on a work trip in Chile.
Formal identification took place on 21 November.
Professor Marsh’s family have been kept aware of the updates and are continuing to be supported by specialist family liaison officers.
The family have expressed their sincere gratitude to everyone who helped to share appeals. They have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
