A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault, following an incident in Long Lawford last night (Tuesday 2 August).
Police were called shortly after 9pm to a report of a sexual assault on a child.
After the incident, the suspect was reported to have driven off in a silver vehicle on Woodleigh Road.
A 29-year-old man from the town was arrested today, and is currently in police custody.
Det Insp Gareth Unett from Warwickshire Police said: “The child is currently being supported by specially trained officers and an investigation is ongoing.
“As part of our enquiries, we would like to speak to anyone who may witnessed any suspicious behaviour, or who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage of this area between 8pm and 9pm last night to please come forward.
”Anyone with any information is asked to call Warwickshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 446 of 2 August 2022.”
