We are appealing for witnesses and information after a man was stabbed near Kingsbury.
Officers were called at around 7.45pm this evening (Sunday, 7 August) to a report that a man had been stabbed on Piccadilly.
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with a stab wound to his abdomen. He remains in hospital in a serious condition.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Paul Sartoris from Warwickshire Police said: “I recognise this incident will cause great concern to the local community and want to reassure the public that a full investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding it.
“While no arrests have been made, enquiries are ongoing and we are treating this as an isolated incident with no wider threat to the community.
“The public can expect to see a heightened police presence in and around the area as our officers continue to conduct their enquiries.
“We know there were a number of people in the area at around the time of the incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed it or has information that could help to please get in touch.”
