Two men have been jailed for being involved in the supply of crack cocaine and heroin in Nuneaton after one of them jumped out of a window in an attempt to evade police.
At around 12.30pm on Monday, May 23, officers from Nuneaton’s Proactive CID witnessed 43-year-old Anthony Robinson involved in a drug deal.
Robinson then entered his home address – Kensington Court in Nuneaton – and police approached the property.
Upon seeing officers approaching, another man, 27-year-old Lentine Shaw of Guild Road in Coventry, leapt out of the window.
Shaw’s escape attempt was short-lived, with police catching and detaining him nearby.
Meanwhile, officers entered Robinson’s property, finding him together with a significant quantity of crack cocaine and heroin.
Both pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.
And on Friday, August 12, at Warwick Crown Court, the pair were sentenced to 45 months in prison each.
Police Constable Jack Maguire of Nuneaton Proactive CID said: “These drugs, and the criminal behaviour that comes with them, destroy lives.
“Anyone involved in their distribution can look forward to sharing a similar outcome to Shaw and Robinson.”
