Five people were arrested on suspicion of drugs offences in Nuneaton and Coventry yesterday (Tuesday).
Officers stopped a vehicle in Coventry around 3.15pm and carried out a search with a quantity of suspected drugs, cash and mobile phones being seized.
A 47-year-old man from Nuneaton, a 44-year-old woman from Nuneaton, a 25-year-old man from Coventry and a 29-year-old man from Coventry were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.
At around 5pm a warrant was executed at a property on Vernons Lane in Nuneaton where a 31-year-old man from Nuneaton was also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug.
The 25-year-old, 29-year-old and 31-year-old remain in custody at this time while the 47-year-old and 44-year-old have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
