Leon Tyler, 27, has been charged with burglary with intent to steal and assault on an emergency services worker.
The charges relate to an incident on 26 May 2021, when police responded to a report of an attempted break-in at a house in Arley.
When an arrest was made, Tyler allegedly became aggressive and assaulted an officer.
Tyler, of no fixed abode, appeared in court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on 24 June.
