Three men have been arrested after plain clothed officers from Rugby Proactive CID spotted a suspected drug deal in the town.
The officers were on patrol in Regent Street on Monday (8 March) afternoon when they spotted the incident.
After calling for support the three men were arrested and cocaine seized after a car was stopped on the A46 near Walsgrave, Coventry.
They arrested a 21-year-old man from Rugby on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply, a 21-year-old man from Coventry on suspicion of being involved in the supply of drugs and a 19-year-old man from Rugby on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs.
All three have been released under investigation while enquires continue.
It is the latest action by Warwickshire police to crack down on the supply of drugs in the town.
Anyone with information that could help police with their enquires should call 101 quoting incident 220 of 8 March 2021.
