Following a Warwickshire Police investigation, a man was sentenced in connection with a drug offence by Warwick Crown Court on 16 June
Capajev Lleshaj, aged 28, of no fixed abode, was jailed for 27 months after pleading guilty to being concerned in the production of a controlled drug Class B.
The Court heard that on 18 May officers from Leamington Safer Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant at a house in Camberwell Terrace in Leamington, discovering a cannabis grow of 96 plants located in 4 rooms. Lleshaj, who was the sole occupant of the house, was arrested at the scene.
PC James Lake, from the Leamington SNT said “We welcome the custodial sentence given by the Court and hope that this will act as a warning to others involved in this shameful criminal activity.
“We will continue to proactively and relentlessly target anyone we believe to be involved in drug operations. We would urge anyone with suspicions concerning individuals or properties that may be used as drugs factories or for drug dealing to contact us in the assurance that we will act on all the information we are given.”
Anyone with suspicions should call 101 or report online via the Warwickshire Police website. Information can also be given completely anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers – www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
