A man has died following a collision in Nuneaton this morning (Friday 18 June).
At around 6.30am, a cyclist – believed to be a man in his 70s – was involved in a collision with a lorry in College Street near the junction with Bull Ring.
Emergency services attended but the man was declared dead at the scene.
A 43-year-old man from Coventry has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving under the influence of drugs.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam footage is asked to call 101 quoting incident 46 of 18 June 2021. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
