Did you witness a robbery?
A woman in her 60s was walking through an alleyway in the direction of Parkfield Road when a man is understood to have approached her from behind and removed her handbag from her shoulder.
He is then understood to have ran towards the Bell Inn pub before heading towards a crossroads.
The man, who is described as being in his late 20s and around 5ft 11in tall, was thought to be wearing a woollen hat, a light jacket and light coloured cargo trousers at the time of the incident.
The woman suffered a slight shoulder injury, which was not life-threatening.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are keen to speak to anyone who was on Parkfield Road, near the Bell Inn pub or walking in the vicinity of the alleyway around the time of the incident.
Any other witnesses or people who have information about it are asked to call 101 or report it online quoting incident 185 of 7 December.
