A man has been arrested in connection with drugs offences following an incident in Rugby.
At around 11am on Monday (8 June) officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were on patrol on Murray Road when they noticed individuals acting suspiciously and witnessed a suspected drug deal take place.
A 36-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He remains in police custody at this time.
A quantity of drugs – believed to be crack cocaine and heroin - were seized.
Enquiries are ongoing but anyone with any information concerning suspected drug dealing in the area is asked to call 101 or report it via the force website.
