Officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were on patrol on Claremont Road at 12.15pm on Monday (27 July) when they witnessed a possible drug deal taking place.
Drugs – believed to be heroin – were seized and officers searched a nearby address where an amount of what is thought to be heroin and other drug-related paraphernalia were recovered.
A 38-year-old man from Rugby was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He has been released under investigation (RUI) pending further enquiries.
Anyone with any information concerning suspected drug dealing in the area is asked to report it on the force website or call 101.
