Three men have been arrested following an attempted burglary near Rugby.
Police received a report of a burglary at a property on Pye Court in Willougby at around 2.40pm on Wednesday (29 July).
The suspects were reported to have left in a white Transit and a vehicle was subsequently spotted by officers, who attempted to stop it.
Following a short pursuit, a collision occurred on the A45 between Dunchurch and Stretton at around 3.30pm. Minor damage was sustained to the police vehicle and no-one was injured.
A 23-year-old man from Coventry and a 21-year-old from Coventry were arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary while a 26-year-old man from Bedworth was arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and possession of a knife/bladed article.
They have been released under investigation pending further investigation.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and officers are keen for anyone who was in the area or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously to come forward.
