A Rugby man has been arrested as part of a stop search in the town.
Officers from Rugby’s Proactive CID team were patrolling on Lower Hillmorton Road at 11.30am on Wednesday (2 December) when they witnessed a suspected drug deal taking place between a man and the occupants of a vehicle.
A search was carried out and suspected Class A drugs were seized along with a quantity of cash and a mobile phone.
A 46-year-old man was arrested by officers on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs. He remains in police custody at this time.
