A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following an incident in Rugby yesterday morning (Tuesday 29 December).
At around 11.40am, officers from Rugby Proactive CID were on patrol in the Benn area of town when they observed suspicious behaviour on the Great Central railway track (just off Clifton Road).
A man was searched and a significant quantity of suspected class A drugs, as well as cash and mobile phones, were seized.
A 19-year-old man from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He has been released on bail while enquiries are ongoing.
