Two people arrested for drugs offences - Rugby

Officers from Rugby's Proactive CID Unit (supported by the Local Policing A shift) have arrested two people for suspected drugs offences.
At approximately 1.45pm yesterday (Tuesday 25 August), a vehicle was stopped on the A426 Leicester Road. A significant amount of suspected class A drugs were recovered from the vehicle.
A 37-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man, both from Rugby, were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
Both individuals have been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
